चेन्नै की एक सुबह ईश्वर (मेरे वरिष्ठ और मित्र) से मिलने जाते समय देव का बुलावा आया। पहले पाँच रुपये के टिकट से दूरदर्शन हुए तो आदेश हुआ पास आओ तो बीस का टिकट लिया। छोटी से बात कही गई, साथ के साथ सुन ली गई। मुरुगन से पिछले दस साल में पहली मुलाकात थी। दक्षिण भारतीय मंदिरों में उत्तर भारत के मंदिरों के मुकाबले अधिक सफाई है और पैसे भी रसीद के साथ लिए जाते है। पुजारियों ने खुद बुला कर आशीर्वचन कहे और न धन मांगा न दिया गया, और बाद में किसी पुजारी ने आँख न ततेरी। सिर्फ़ दो पुष्पमालाओं से पूजा सम्पन्न हुई। खाद्य का प्रसाद ने चढ़ा, न पाया। बाहर आकर स्थानीय चाय नाश्ता हुआ और मन के साथ तन भी संतुष्ट हुआ। #chennai #murugan #vadapalani

अरे चाचा चम्मन! चंदू के चाचा ने जब चंदू की चाँदी की चम्मच से जब चटनी चटाई थी तो हरी वाली चटनी थी या लाल वाली, हमने पूछा। चम्मन चाचा ने दही का शोला चाटते हुए ज्ञान चटकाया, चटनी तो हरी ही होती हैं, लाल तो सॉस होती है और इमली सौंठ कत्थई। शोला निपटाओ आईऐनये मार्केट से से मंगवाया है भतीजे। कोई बात नहीं चचा, हम दिल्ली की ढफली है चटनी नहीं चाटते, दही के शोले का दही चाटते हम ने चटकारा लिया और दफा हो लिए। #streetfood #delhifoodie #inamarket

I am in Chennai not only to realize, they in Delhi serve some standard receipe from unknown cookbook written by a north indian cooks in the name of south indian food. I also realized, they in Chennai serve north indian food prepared not in mustered oil but coconut oil, serve it on banana leaf and what is more, they have it without spoon using all fingers. No, all here were north indian speaking braj bhasha mixed Hindi.
